04/29/08 Oceania Adds 100 Gateways for Free Airfare

Oceania Cruises expanded the free airfare program for its 2009 European Collection to include more than 120 cities in the United States and Canada. The free airfare is sometimes available with 2-for-1 cruise fares. The 2-for-1 cruise fares start at $2,299 per person. The free airfare promotion is valid through Aug. 31 and is capacity controlled.
In 2009, Oceania will offer 56 European voyages that range from 10 to 30 days and call at more than 80 ports. Oceania’s three ships will sail throughout the Mediterranean Sea, the Greek Isles and Northern Europe. Maiden ports next year will include Hellesylt, Norway; Fowey, U.K.; Biarritz, France; Koper, Slovenia; and Split, Croatia. Jacques Pépin will sail aboard Insignia from Barcelona to Istanbul on Aug. 9, 2009. With ports including Egypt and the Holy Land, this voyage will include culinary demonstrations, wine lectures and exclusive shore side events.  The 5th Annual Oceania Club Reunion Cruise will depart from Rome on Oct. 5, 2009. The 12-day voyage will call on a dozen ports in five countries, including Venice, Cinque Terre, Dubrovnik, Kotor and Monte Carlo. Oceania Club members will be feted with exclusive cocktail parties, members-only lunches and dinners, private shore excursions and additional surprises. The Insignia will sail a new 16-day Venice-to-Rome voyage on May 15, 2009, and calling on Koper, Split, Dubrovnik, Kotor, Corfu, Sarande, Valletta, Taormina, Sorrento, Amalfi, Florence, St Tropez and Cinque Terre. Regatta returns to Scandinavia and Russia and sails to Norway and the British Isles for the very first time. A 12-day cruise to the Norwegian fjords and British Isles sails roundtrip from Dover on July 13, 2009, and calls on Edinburgh, Invergordon, Alesund, Hellesylt, Belfast, Dublin, Waterford and Fowey. A new 14-day Egypt and Israel itinerary sails from Barcelona to Istanbul and includes Tunisia, Malta, Greece, Egypt, Israel, Cyprus and Turkey. These 2009 voyages departs June 27 on Nautica, Aug. 9 on Insignia, and Oct. 31 on Regatta.  Oceania also offers four new Grand Voyages in Europe and South America. Guests may sail from Venice to Stockholm, Barcelona to Venice, Istanbul to Miami, and Rome to Rio de Janeiro.
