Nov 25 – Seabourn new ship the Sojourn to be Christened in London in 2010 – The Yachts of Seabourn announced that its second new vessel will be named Seabourn Sojourn in a ceremony in London (Greenwich) in June 2010

Nov 24 -Royal Caribbean Floats Out Oasis of the Seas - Royal Caribbean International’s Oasis of the Seas, now under construction at STX Europe in Turku, Finland, reached an important maritime milestone when it was floated out — moved from dry dock to wet dock — to begin the final stages of interior work.

Nov. 19 – Royal Caribbean International’s newest Freedom-class ship, Independence of the Seas, made her US debut today at Port Everglades in Ft. Lauderdale, Fl.

Nov 1 – Construction began for Britain’s newest cruise ship, A ceremony marking the keel-laying for the newest superliner for P&O (Princess) Cruises was held at the Monfalcone shipyard of Fincantieri. One of the two largest ships ever built for P&O Cruises, the new ship will be named Azura.

Sept 28 - Celebrity Solstice, departed Meyer Werft shipyard today in Papenburg, Germany, as the largest ship ever built by the longtime shipbuilder.

August 6 – Meyer Werft laid the first block of the Celebrity Equinox keel at their Papenburg yard today.

August  5 – Ruby Princess returns from its sea trials to the Fincantieri yard at Monfalcone (Italy). The ship will debut in Ft. Lauderdale on  November 8.

July 21-  MSC Splendida was floated out at the Aker France yard in St. Nazaire (France) on Sunday. MSC Splendida will be the line’s second of the 133,500-ton class.
