Royal Caribbean unveiled another portion of the Oasis of the Seas video showing what will be offered onboard. This portion named “Two Neighborhoods” shows an in-depth look at life onboard the largest cruise ship in the world. The first video showcased an overview of what the ship will offer including the revolutionary Aqua Theater. We look forward to the release of the videos in the near future.
Here at Zanza Blue, being ex-crew members we are overwhelmed when considering this new ship and very grateful to Royal Caribbean for producing this revolutionary cruise ship. RCI has finally made the cruise ship an undisputed destination instead of where a ship brings you. Considering the small segment of the travel industry that the cruise industry captures this ship alone should greatly help in changing that position. The risks are high considering RCI is paying 1 billion dollars for this ship. After viewing the videos one can quickly realize this is not just a cruise ship but truly a floating resort giving passenger’s unlimited choices onboard. The days of Shuffleboard and Buffets as being a highlight are long gone.
The Oasis of the Seas is leaving the competing cruise lines scratching their heads, RCI did a great job of keeping the ships details a closely guarded secret. Sailing on the Oasis of the Seas in the first six months will cost a pretty penny; no one is questioning that prospect. RCI has earned the right to charge a premium since no other Cruise Ship has ever been launched on this scale. Initial reservations are forecasted to break records in the industry. If you are looking to cruise on the Oasis of the Seas be forewarned snagging a reservation in the first few months is estimated to be similar to grabbing a good seat at a popular rock concert. If you are a budget minded traveler it simply comes down to waiting your turn. With four of these ships being built the prices will settle. The question now is how long will that take?
