Cunard Cruise Lines Queen Mary 2 to Feature James Taylor

 

Cunard Line announced that Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter James Taylor and his band will perform during Queen Mary 2’s June 19 eastbound trans-Atlantic crossing.

 

Sailing from New York to Southampton, England, Taylor will headline two Cunard Command Performances in the ship’s Royal Court Theatre during the six-day journey. Space is still available on this voyage.

 

“I’ve always wanted to take an ocean liner back to Europe,” Taylor said. “It’s such a civilized way to go, and the Queen Mary 2 is the last word in first-class travel. It was a dream to use the passage to transport and rehearse our summer tour: band, crew and family; kit and caboodle. I’m looking forward to the pair of concerts at the end of the trip and, hallelujah, no jet lag

MSC Cruises Offers Free Air for Summer Europe Departures

For a limited time, MSC Cruises is offering free roundtrip airfare from select gateways in conjunction with seven-night Europe itineraries this summer.

 

 The free air is available on flights from Atlanta, Boston, Chicago O’Hare, Miami, JFK, Newark, Tampa and Orlando.

 

Rates on select sailings begin at $1,199 per person, double occupancy, including cruise, roundtrip air, air taxes and airport transfers.

 

 The offer includes select Eastern Mediterranean sailings on MSC Poesia, MSC Musica, MSC Opera and MSC Armonia roundtrip from Venice; MSC Orchestra’s Northern Europe itineraries roundtrip from Copenhagen; and Western Mediterranean itineraries of the new MSC Fantasia and MSC Splendida (which debuts this summer) from Barcelona.

 

Bookings must be made by April 30. A $250-per-person non-refundable deposit is due at time of booking.

Disney Cruise Offers Half-Price Kids Fares this Spring

Disney Cruise Line launched a “Kids Sail for 50 Percent Off” offer. This offer is available on all Disney itineraries, including three-, four- and seven-night sailings to the Bahamas and the Caribbean from Port Canaveral.

 

Guests 12 and under can sail for half the price of prevailing cruise rate as quoted when accompanied by two full-fare paying guests within the same stateroom. This offer is valid for most sailings from March 26 through May 14, and covers all stateroom categories.

 

While the cruise fare with this special offer is half price for guests 12 and under, guests who book will be responsible for government taxes and fees for all stateroom occupants, including those 12 and under.

 

This offer is available on all Disney Cruise Line itineraries, including the new seven-night Eastern Caribbean itinerary featuring Tortola, St. Thomas and Disney’s private island, Castaway Cay. The Disney Wonder operates three- and four-night Bahamian itineraries.
